Day 01: Arrive Leh and Day for acclimatization

Day 04: Leh - Khardungla - Nubra Valley / 125 kms / 4-5 hours

Day 06: Departure from Leh

Khardongla Pass is one of the pass that you visit, it has the thrilling experience, face the real time adventure on the pass, the pass is one of the highest motoirable pass in the world to witness.

Itinerary : Glimpse of Ladakh with Nubra Valley and Pengong Lake

Day 01: Arrive Leh and Day for acclimatization 

If you are arriving by flight to Leh its one of the most sensational flights in the world. On a clear day from the left of the aircraft one can see in the distance the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, and Gasherbrum and so close that you feel you could reach out and touch it, is the Nun Kun massif. From the other side of the aircraft you can see the high altitude lakes of Tso Moriri and Tso Kar. Upon arrival at Leh you will be transferred to Hotel. Rests of the day at Leisure for acclimatization since you have gone from a relatively low elevation to over 11,000 feet! On arrival at Leh airport meet and received by our company representative and transfer to the booked accommodation. In the late afternoon, proceed to the city centre and take leisurely walk through the main market for general orientation. Wind up the tour with a visit to the Shanti Stupa, a prominent landmark perched upon a hillock commanding panoramic views of the Leh valley. Evening at leisure.

Day 02: In Leh (Glimpses of the Indus Valley / Approx.80 kms round trip / 3-4 hours)

After breakfast drive to visit the dramatically located Thiksey Monastery , a major Gelukpa foundation dating from the 16th century. Returning from Thiksey, you may walk up the hill to Shey Palace where the main attractions are the two gigantic copper-gilt statues of the Buddha installed during the 17th century. Thereafter, you may visit the Druk Padma School (3-Idiot's Rancho School), if interested.
Later, enjoy lunch at own cost and thereafter drive to visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), en-route visiting Hall of Fame (museum of military heritage), Gurudwara Pathar Sahib & Magnetic Point. Thereafter we drive to leh for overnight stay.

Day 03: In Leh Excursion to Pangong Lake / 150 kms /one way / 5-6 hours

After early breakfast leave for Pangong Lake via Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft. / 5486 meters, 3rd highest motorable pass in the world). Pangong Lake (alt:14,500 ft.), largest brackish water lake of Asia, is 4-5 kms wide and about 135 kms long of which about two-third portion lies on the other side of the Indo-China border. After sightseeing at the lake, drive back to Leh, reaching by the evening. Overnight at Leh.

Day 04: Leh - Khardungla - Nubra Valley / 125 kms / 4-5 hours

After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft.), highest motorable pass in the world. Nubra Valley lies to the north of Leh, between the Karakoram & Ladakh ranges at an average altitude of 10,000 ft. Till closure of the trans-Karakoram trade route by the Chinese in 1949, Nubra Valley was a busy trade corridor on the Central Asian trade route. Reach Deskit / Hunder in the afternoon and explore the area and the white Sand Dunes where you can also take a short camel Safari on the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional service on direct payment). Overnight at a deluxe camp or hotel.

Day 05: Nubra Valley – Khardungla - Leh / 125 kms / 4 - 5 hours

After breakfast, explore Deskit (headquarters of Nubra valley) and then drive up the hillside to visit the 15th century Deskit Monastery dramatically located on a rock promontory overlooking the valley. En-route you can visit the gigantic image of Maitreya Buddha (32 mtrs) seated out on a hillock which was installed in 2010. Later drive back to Leh via Khardongla, reaching in the afternoon. Rest of the time at leisure in, free for your own activities.

Day 06: Departure from Leh 

Today enjoy breakfast at the hotel and as per the flight schedule, we will be transferred to Leh Airport to board our onwards flight back to home.

Identity Proof- Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh is one of the most sensitive areas of India. Hence carry documents which can prove your nationality is really important. So carry your Adhar card and voter Id or either of one.

Contact details of any local citizen- If you know someone who lives in any part of the state don’t forget to carry their contact details.

Medical Kit- Basic medicines- Carry antiseptics, antibiotics, antacids and painkillers along with inhalers and pain relief sprays, ointment to avoid any last moment mood spoiler.

Full sleeves waterproof jackets- It depends on the season you are visiting. Although, you would need light woollens round the year but you need to carry heavy ones if you are visiting between November to March. Water repellent jackets would keep you safe from unseasonal rains.

Trekking Shoes/boots- These may help you in Sonamarg and Gulmarg as the ice level are usually more than 8 ft, and boots are basic necessities to carry for such destination. Although, you can rent it here but it’s always wise to carry your own.

Moisturizers- If you have dry skin, better you carry two bottles of your brand.

Extra bag- For picking up your dirty wears and keeps it away from the woolens.

Umbrella- If it’s a monsoon, umbrella is a must carry. It rains and it rains heavily in Kashmir.

Cash in hidden pockets- Kashmir is actually Cash-more as at every point you need to spend without thinking twice. The best part is eating jaunts are too cheap here. You can eat here limitlessly without burning a hole in your pocket. So eat. And stay calm.

Wearables:- Goggles For protection from sun and UV-rays, Sunscreen Lotion with high SPF(30 or above), Mustard Oil (for applying in nostrils as it can become dry and painful due to dry and cold winds of Ladakh), Lip Balm/ Vaseline, Gloves for bikers, Mufler, Caps, Water/Wind proof jacket.

Other necessary stuff:- Torch with extra cells (NOTE: Less power in leh), Swiss Knife/Knife (if u have any or u want to carry), Water bottle (NOTE: Lots of water to be carried), Extra bag for shopping. As Leh offers many handicraft items.

Eatable stuff:- Carry Glucose, chocolates, Nuts and other stuff which u want to carry. NOTE: Appetite will reduce due to AMSToiletries:-Face wash/Paper Soap, Tooth brush/ Tooth paste, Wet tissue/Dry tissue (NOTE: Carry lots of tissue paper as tissues are expensive in leh), Moisturizer / Comb

(NOTE: Dress in layers as it will be easy for you to add and subtract clothes due to sudden fall and rise in temperature over there.)

Here is what the tour fee includes:

1. Accommodation – Accommodation will be provided in standard category hotel, using standard room on triple sharing basis, in case of non-availability of rooms at the time of reservation, we shall accommodate our guests in alternative similar category hotel. In case any clients want to stay in the mentioned hotel, we will be happy to upgrade the room category which may result in additional cost to be borne by the client.

2. Meals – Kindly go through the detailed itinerary, as meals will be provided according to the mentions in each respective itinerary (meals are provided on fixed menu on buffet basis).

3. Transportation – We generally use transportation depending on number of person booked for the tour under following category:-
For 2-4 Person – Sedan car in AC in Plains & Non AC in Hills 
For 05 Person – Bolero / Sumo / Toyota Innova / Xylo Car AC in Plains & Non AC in Hills 
For 06-08 Person – Bolero / Sumo / Tempo Traveller 
For 09-12 Person – Tempo Traveller 
For 13+ - Mini Bus / 26 seated tempo 

Note:  Transport Fuels, toll, parking, and State tax are included.
a. In case of half day – It will be only 40 Kms / 4 Hrs 
b. In case of full day – it will be only 80 Kms / 8 Hrs  
c. There will be per kms / per hour additional charges crossing the above limit.

4. Guide – The Cost include fee of only local city / monuments guide only for sightseeing (if we required we will be happy to hire accompanied guide however at additional cost.)

5. For Wildlife Tour – Jungle Safaris are organized in Canter Safari on sharing basis (if required exclusive safari on non-sharing basis, we will be happy to book the same using Open Jeeps for all Jungle Safari, however at additional costs.) 

1. What is the best time to visit Ladakh?
Summer
Summer (April-June) is undoubtedly the best season to travel to Ladakh. It is when the snow melts and spectacular hues are spread all across the region. Breathtaking scenery along with enchanting Buddhist festivals like the famous Hemis Festival (June-July) can be witnesses during this period.

2. Is it safe to travel to Leh Ladakh?
Ladakh is completely safe.

3. Is Ladakh open for tourists?
Yes, Leh Ladakh is completely safe for tourists.

4. Are tourists allowed in Ladakh?
Yes, you can visit Ladakh as a tourist now. The union territory of Ladakh district administration has not issued any advisory for tourists as they are not expecting any. ... Which means that you can fly-in to Ladakh, but it is recommended that you have a negative Covid report issued within 48 hours of the date of travel.

5. Is Pangong Lake open for tourist?
While several high mountain passes remain closed in winter, the Indian Army keeps the road through Chang La pass open all year round. This means Pangong Lake can be visited throughout the year.

6. Is liquor allowed in Leh Ladakh?
You can buy and drink at the place you are staying. It is advisable that you carry your own when visiting outside of Leh as no liquor vends exist. One also has the option of carrying what one prefers to drink from Delhi/ where ever you are traveling from.

7. Can we smoke in Ladakh?
Any tobacco, smoking, and alcohol or other depressant drugs including, barbiturates, tranquilizers, and sleeping pills, etc. The alcohol actually dehydrates your body further which does not help a bit in acclimatization.

8. What is the Speciality of Ladakh?
Ladakh is most famous for breathtaking landscapes, the crystal clear skies, the highest mountain passes, thrilling adventure activities, Buddhist Monasteries and festivals.

9. Is there oxygen problem in Ladakh?
So, yes, there is less oxygen in Leh, as compared to low altitude and plane areas. ... Effects of low oxygen levels: Low oxygen levels and a decrease in air pressure can be harmful to people who suffer from asthma, respiratory problems, and for senior citizens.

10. How many feet above sea level is the khardung pass?
