Time taken: From Kathgodam it’s a 10 hours’ drive.
It is religiously believed that Lohajung is a place where Goddess Parvati had a war with the demon Lohasur due to which the place is named Lohajung, which means "War with Lohasur."
Start 10 hours drive from Kathgodam to Lohajung. In the middle of your drive, you will be able to please your eyes with a variety of mountain vistas. However, the drive could be a little hectic, but don't worry, mountains won't make you feel tired.
So, after reaching Lohajung, you will see the beautiful Nanda Ghunti peak. Lohajung is at the center of 12-15 nearby villages. If you have forgotten to carry the winter clothes essentials, you can buy the necessary things from the local stores of Village like caps, shoes, jackets, etc. Mobile networks will be available in some parts of Lohajung.
Altitude:Â 7,600 ft. to 9,689 ft.
Time taken:Â 5 hours, 5.8 km
Water sources:Â The first point to refill your water bottles is around 3 hours into the trek, followed by another place where you can stop for rest and having lunch.
Trek Gradient:Â Moderate
The beginning of the trek is from Lohajung central market. The walk is through the upper region of Lohajung and then through the forest trail with few houses. A short trek will lead to a village spot called Mandoli.
Climbing high will lead you towards Kali valley, where two rivers join names kali and Pindari. Later on, trek, you will find rhododendron trees from February to March, making the trail more beautiful.
Approximately 8,500 Ft., you will find a bridge of 10 meters known as Link-Gaad to help you cross the stream. After two hours of trek, you will reach Begum with splendid views of Navali Bugyal and Bagdi Bugyal.
It is a place where you can rest. After an hour walk leads you towards the last stream, Gujarani, and from there, it's just 75 minutes' walk to reach Bekaltal. Bekaltal is a beautiful lake amid the oak forests, and there is an adjacent lake called Khopdaliya, near which we can camp.

Time taken:Â 7 km, 5-6 hours
Water sources:Â There is no water source therefore ensure to fill 2l of water before starting the trek.
Trek Gradient:Â Moderate.
On today's trek, you will pass through the Oak and Rhododendron trees. The trail's starting is out of the campsite and steeply climbs into the Rhododendron and Oak forest. The trail opens out to meadows of Telandi after an hour of ascent, which brings you at 11,500 ft. the highest point of the day.
After trekking the whole day, you will see the Nainital and Almora side of the valley. You can witness big mountains in the area like Nanda Ghunti and Trishul. The campsite of Brahmatal is 500 meters away from the lake at 10,351 Ft.

Water sources:Â There is no water source therefore ensure to fill 2l of water before setting off to trek to the top
Trek gradient:Â Moderate
The trek begins with a 40-minute climb through the mixed forests of Oak and Rhododendrons leading towards the open meadows and base of the big climb to the top.
When you reach the summit, You will see Mana, Neelkanth, Nanda Ghunti, Chaukhambha, Nilgiri, Mandir, Trishul, Maitoli, and high mountains stretching to the Panchachuli range.
Trekking towards to top will be a mesmerizing experience. However, it will be a long way, but don't worry because, in each step, you will see something to adore around you.
Altitude:Â 10,440 ft. to 7,600 ft. via 10,935 ft.
Time taken:Â 8.9 km, 6-7 hours
Water sources:Â There is one spot to refill your water bottles, about 4-4.5 hours into the trek near a hamlet.
Trek Gradient:Â Difficult, due to the long descent
The descent takes about 7 hours from Brahamatal to Lohajung. Then you go back over the route to Khabekhal, after which you directly go down to Lohajung. Then you pass by Daldum, which is a beautiful location surrounded by trees.
You will reach Malling after a trek of 20-30 minutes, a water resource, and outside the forest area. You will be able to see a few villages from here as well.You will reach Burali after walking for an hour, a small settlement of a few houses. Again you will find a stone trail from here leading towards Lohajung.
On 6th days there will be departing for Haldwani (Kathgodam)/Haridwar. We hope this whole five days journey to Brahmatal will bring wonders in your life.

Covid Relief Cancellation Policy

Trek Cancelling Exceptions
We never cancel any treks at Trekveda but In case we cancel your trek because of any natural calamities, political unrest, and sudden global health concern, riots, government instructions etc. So, Trekveda will issue you a voucher to redeem your trek in 1 year with any trek you want.
Trekveda Refund Policy
In case of refund, there will be a deduction of 4% bank charges and 5% GST from the total fee you have paid. Also, if you have opted for trek insurance, the amount will not be refunded. In the process of refunding the amount, the full amount will not be refunded in the first phase. It will take 15 working days to repay the half and another 15 working days for another half of the amount calculated according to the company's cancellation policy.
