Day 07: Departure from Manali
Himachal Pradesh is one of the most known destinations for trekking and just chilling with the outstanding views of the mountains. One of the bucket list places of Himachal is Lahual & Sptiti valley where everyone wants to travel at once at least in life time. The way passes through the beautiful forest. However the valley is considered as mini Ladakh but while passing through the other places you get to see greenery. You get to see apple orchards, Sangla, kinnuar kailash peak, Baspa River on your way to Lauhual Spiti valley.Â
Day 01: Shimla – Sangla by surface 220 Kms approx 6-7 Hrs
Today  morning, we embark on a 220 kms road trip to Sangla. A small town on the banks of the Baspa River, Sangla is a picturesque and serene place. Many restaurants, cafes and accommodation options make it an apt stop on the way to the Spiti Valley. We spend a night in this beautiful place.Â

Day 02: Sangla-Chitkul - Kalpa by surface 95 Kms approx 4-5 Hrs
On the second day of this Spiti Valley Tour, we have breakfast, basking in the first rays of the sun, and later head for an excursion to Chitkul. Chitkul can be described as one of the most scenic settlements in the valley and the last inhabited village before the India-China border. This short drive from Sangla to Chitkul will be one of the most scenic drives you’ll take with plenty of opportunities to take stunning photographs. Walk around the Bapsa River and pay tribute to the Mathi Goddess at the temple in the village. After spending time in Chitkul, we turn around and head to Kalpa. Legend has it that Kalpa was the winter home of Lord Shiva. If it’s true, he couldn’t have found a more remarkable abode for himself, with enthrallingly majestic views of the Kinner-Kailash and Jorkandan peaks looming right above the village. Evening at leisure, free for our own activities.

Day 03: Kalpa – Nako – Tabo by surface 160 Kms approx 7 Hrs
Enjoy breakfast at your booked accommodation, later  we continue driving on the famous Hindustan – Tibet Highway or the NH 22 – This stretch is famously known as one of “most treacherous roads of the world†by the lonely planet in a visual spectacle. Don’t let that little piece of information deter you because your local drivers are highly skilled and experienced while driving on these roads. As you begin embracing the jaw-dropping views watch the mountains change their colours from the lush greens of the Kinnaur valley to the many hues of brown. After a quick refresh stop at Puh, we proceed to Nako – the last hamlet of Kinnaur, before we enter the gates of Spiti Valley. After lunch drive to Tabo via Nako through Sumdo, the first village of Spiti Valle. Rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 04: Tabo - Kaza by surface 50 Kms approx 2-3 Hrs
Today we drive to the charming and tiny villages of Pin Valley. Today, we drive to the mesmerizing valley of Pin. Imagine a national park with an abundance of animals and birds, with some rare plant varieties, a river that gushes when it isn’t frozen and trekking opportunities for the adventure-seekers. The Pin Valley promises all this and more. We first visit the Kungri Monastery and then the beautiful hamlet of Mudh – the last motorable village of the Pin Valley. Declared a national park in 1987, Pin Valley has altitudes ranging from 11,000 to 20,000 feet and is home to at least 12 endangered snow leopards. Thereafter we proceed our drive further to Kaza. Evening at leisure.

Day 05: In Kaza (Explore Ki Monastery - Langza - Komik – Hikkim)
Today we drive to some of the highest inhabited regions of the world. We begin our day by heading to Komik, which literally translates to “eye of a snow cockâ€, the highest village in Asia situated at the height of 14,806 feet. We further drive to the world’s highest post office in the world in Hikkim, where you may even meet the post-master and hear his stories. Do carry some postcards along with you to post it to your friends and families, than we drive to the picturesque village of Langza. As you walk back to the prehistoric era when Spiti was submerged by the Tethys Sea, as you explore a land very rich with fossils of Marine animals and plants which were here millions of years ago. Thereafter we will also visit the world-famous Ki Monastery, situated at a height of 13,668 feet. With over 1000 years’ worth stories to tell, Ki Monastery was founded by the discipline of the famous Atisha in the 11th century CE. Belonging to the Yellow Hat or Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism.  We drive back to Kaza by evening, and spend the night at the accommodation.

Day 06: Kaza – Manali by surface 202 Kms approx 5 Hrs via Tal Tunnel
On the road from Kaza to Manali is Kunzam, a mountain pass at an attitude of 4551 meters, with a temple of Kunzam Devi. One can also trek from here to the famous and beautiful moon lake Chandratal (4070 m). Asia's biggest glaciers, Bada and Chotta Sigri, can be seen from here. Drive further to enter the Lahoul Valley. Lahoul, the open valley of very hard working tribe that claim for the highest per capita income and maximum top administrative posts, is a real mixture of Hindu and Buddhist culture and religion under similar roofs. Free flowing Chandra and Bhaga rivers from Lahoul assure the prosperity of Pakistan where it finally reaches. Different costumes, innocent faces, lamas and monasteries of Lahoul and a wonderful landscape is worth visiting. We keep driving to Manali for overnight stay.

Identity Proof-Â Carry documents which can prove your nationality. So carry your Adhar card and voter Id or either of one.
Contact details of any local citizen- If you know someone who lives in any part of the state don’t forget to carry their contact details.
Medical Kit- Basic medicines-Â Carry antiseptics, antibiotics, antacids and painkillers along with inhalers and pain relief sprays, ointment to avoid any last moment mood spoiler.
Full sleeves waterproof jackets-Â It depends on the season you are visiting. Although, you would need light woollens round the year but you need to carry heavy ones if you are visiting between Novembers to March. Water repellent jackets would keep you safe from unseasonal rains.
Trekking Shoes/boots- These may help you in Sonamarg and Gulmarg as the ice level are usually more than 8 ft, and boots are basic necessities to carry for such destination. Although, you can rent it here but it’s always wise to carry your own.
Moisturizers-Â If you have dry skin, better you carry two bottles of your brand.
Extra bag-Â For picking up your dirty wears and keeps it away from the woolens.
Umbrella- If it’s a monsoon, umbrella is a must carry. It rains and it rains heavily in Kashmir.
Cash in hidden pockets-Â Kashmir is actually Cash-more as at every point you need to spend without thinking twice. The best part is eating jaunts are too cheap here. You can eat here limitlessly without burning a hole in your pocket. So eat. And stay calm.
Wearables:-Â Goggles For protection from sun and UV-rays, Sunscreen Lotion with high SPF(30 or above), Mustard Oil (for applying in nostrils as it can become dry and painful due to dry and cold winds of Ladakh), Lip Balm/ Vaseline, Gloves for bikers, Mufler, Caps, Water/Wind proof jacket.
Other necessary stuff:-Â Torch with extra cells (NOTE: Less power in leh), Swiss Knife/Knife (if u have any or u want to carry), Water bottle (NOTE: Lots of water to be carried), Extra bag for shopping. As Leh offers many handicraft items.
Eatable stuff:-Â Carry Glucose, chocolates, Nuts and other stuff which u want to carry. NOTE: Appetite will reduce due to AMS
Toiletries:-Â Face wash/Paper Soap, Tooth brush/ Tooth paste, Wet tissue/Dry tissue (NOTE: Carry lots of tissue paper as tissues are expensive in leh), Moisturizer / Comb
(NOTE: Dress in layers as it will be easy for you to add and subtract clothes due to sudden fall and rise in temperature over there.)
Tour Payment Terms
Initial amount of 20% of the Invoice amount, the Client must pay the balance amount 15-20 days prior to the date of departure of the Tour.Â

1.   100 % Voucher will be provided if the trek/ tour is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances or any kind of Natural Calamities, Political Unrest, and Sudden Global Health Concern, Riots, Lockdown Government instructions etc. in this case Trekveda will issue you a voucher of respective amount having 1 year validity from Voucher date, which can be used in any trek of your interest operated by Trekveda

Itinerary Policy
This itinerary is a sample itinerary based on the information available at the time of publication, all information given in this program Trekveda reserves the right to change any program information before or after your booking the tour due to any events beyond our control. In case if we are aware of any changes sufficiently in advance we will notify you at the time of booking, otherwise our Tour Manager or Local representative will inform you of the changes. Major road works or floods, landslides may necessitate route changes in the itineraries. All of these may cause us to make changes in the itineraries. The Company has mentioned the detailed itinerary, price inclusions & exclusions, special notes etc. in the pdf.
ACTIVITIES OF THE ITINERARYÂ
Trekveda is a travel and holiday organizers only, we do not control or operate any airline, neither do we own or control any shipping company, coach or coach company, Hotel, Transport or any other facility or service mentioned in this program. We take care in selecting all the ingredients in your holiday; but because we only select and inspect them and have no control in running of them, we cannot be responsible for mechanical fault or any injury, death, loss or damage which is caused by the act or default of the management or employees of any hoteliers, airlines, shipping company, coach owner/ Transport operator who are the company’s independent contractors arising outside our normal selection and inspection process.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:-
1. There is no Contract between the company and the client until the company has received the initial deposit amount per person as specified for each tour package. The full payment must be received in accordance with procedures laid down under Payments Terms. If not paid in that time, the company reserves the right to cancel the booking with consequent loss of deposit and apply scale of cancellation charges as mentioned in the cancellation policy hereunder.

4. In the event of the Company exercising its rights to amend or alter any of the services as mentioned in the itinerary, after such tour or holiday has been booked, the Client shall have the right:

Health & Safety: The Company shall in no circumstances whatsoever will be liable to the Client or any person traveling for:
7. No liability on the part of the Company arising in any way out of this Contract in respect of any tour, holiday, excursion facility shall exceed the total amount paid or agreed to be paid for the tour holiday, and shall in no case include any consequential loss or additional expense whatsoever.

If the Client has any complaint in respect of the services provided by any of the Independent Contractors, the Client shall immediately notify the same in writing to the Independent Contractor and a copy thereof should be handed over to the Tour Manager of the Company in order to enable the Company to take up the matter with the Independent Contractor so that in future other Clients do not face the same difficulty.
a) Any claim or complaint by the Client must be notified to the Company in writing within 07 days of the end of this holiday tour. No claim notified to this Company beyond this period will be entertained and the Company shall incur no liability whatsoever in respect thereof.
9. Each of this condition shall be severable from the other end if any provision be invalid, illegal or unenforceable. The remaining provisions shall nevertheless have full force and effect.
10. Insurance: The tour cost does not include any costs towards the Travel / Meclaim Insurance premium. In case if the Client needs an Insurance coverage, it is suggested to go for suitable insurance policy on your own. The Client has to deal directly with the Insurance Company in case of settlement of any claim.Â
11. Change in Tour Price: The tour prices printed / advertised / quoted to Client are dynamic prices. The person booking tour early is likely to get the lowest price as communicated / offered by the Company, subject to availability of seats. Similarly, person booking tour at the last will be offered the highest prices. This pricing module has been adopted to get early bookings on tours. Hence it is quite obvious that persons travelling on a same group tour are likely to have paid different tour prices. The Company will not entertain any claim whatsoever on account of the same. Also it is clear agreement between either parties that the prices quoted in the proposal / brochure have been calculated based upon the prevailing hotel / transport tariffs and applicable taxes thereon at the time of printing this brochure. The Company reserves the right to amend the price published in this program in case of costs increased before the date of departure. All such increases in price must be paid for in full before departure by the Client. The company also reserves the right to charge offer time to time as per the present situation demand / circumstances. Â
12. Force Majure:-Acts of god (including exceptional adverse weather conditions), earthquake, fire , war (declared or undeclared), invasion, rebellion, revolt, riot, civil commotion, civil war, nuclear fission, Lockdown, strike, act(s) of omission/commission by any concerned government(s), or government agencies, judicial or quasijudicial authorities, occurrence of any event can force the Company to change or extended. Hence any additional expenditure occurred due to the above reasons the same will be borne by the passengers.
13. Please note trekking / driving time given in the program are approximate and it may vary due to break for refreshments, photography, bad weather and Road conditions.
MEALS
The menus are pre – set menus provided for breakfast/lunch/dinner on the tour as mentioned under each Tour itinerary and inclusions as printed in our brochure. The meals will be served at restaurants of hotel of stay. The enroute meals or meals during excursions could be packed meals or served by enroute/local restaurants / Dhabas. We cannot process a special meal nor do we guarantee the special diet to the customer. We however reserve the right to change the meal arrangement if circumstances make it necessary to do so. If a tour participant does not avail his/her meal in stipulated time; he/she has to avail the meal on his/her own arrangement and expenses. No claim can be made for the meal which he/she has missed and not utilized.
Itinerary Changes
For the comfort and convenience of our clients, we will sometimes reverse the direction, or slightly amend the itinerary. We will try to advise you of these amendments, prior to the start of the tour or on tour. In the event that a tour participant misses on any part of the sightseeing tour or any such tour due to delay on his part, he will not be entitled to claim refund of the same.
Hotel
We have mentioned the indicative names of the Hotels for each tour. We reserve the right to change the same due to unavoidable circumstances. In that case we may provide alternative, similar accommodation for which we are not liable to pay any refund. We will not be responsible or liable in case of loss of property or life at the Hotel. Similarly any damages caused to the hotel rooms during your stay, shall be payable by the Clients and the Company will not be liable for the same.
Transport / Coach / Sitting
We use Deluxe 2 X 2 Coaches or vehicles such as Tempo Traveller, Tata Winger, Chevrolet Tavera, Mahindra Scorpio, Toyota Qualis, Tata Sumo or similar as per the availability of vehicles and actual size of the group. Our tour manager / local representative will take reasonable care of your luggage but if you are carrying any high value items on the coach, we advise you not to leave them behind when you leave the coach. We will not be responsible or liable in case of theft or robbery of the said items from the coach. All baggage and personal effects are at all times and under all circumstances your responsibility. Any damages caused to the hotel rooms / coach during your stay, shall be payable by the Clients and the Company will not be liable for the same. The drivers of the vehicles are bound by specific rules like maximum driving hours within a day/during a week, rest period per day/week etc. Clients will have to strictly adhere to the prescribed timetable for the day so that the driver can complete the travel. In case, any of the sightseeing schedules is missed due to delays caused by the client, the same will not be refunded to the client under any circumstances. Â Please note that AC will not work in Hills and no claims to this regard shall be entertained.
Risk and Liabilities - Clients shall agree that Trekveda shall not be held responsible for consequences of natural calamities, weather condition, failure of scheduled airline, detention and delays due to quarantine, strike, theft, force major, civil disturbance, government restriction or regulation, accident by aircraft, car, bus or any other form of transport relating to program schedule. The travelers understand that such situations may occur, and we will inform you of the situation as soon as we have knowledge of it. The right is reserved to cancel or alter any package as conditions require, all additional cost occurs in such case will fully be borne by the travelers. Also, Trekveda shall not be held responsible for any loss/damage of your personal belongings.

Incidental charges due to unforeseen situationsÂ
All arrangements made by Company are in the capacity of an agent only. Company will not be liable for claims or expenses arising from circumstances beyond our control such as accidents, injuries, delayed or cancelled flights & acts of Force majeure/ traffic jams / traffic halts/ diversions/ bandh/ curfew, Union strike, VVIP movement, etc. – We will request you to bear with us the situations beyond our control. We will arrange for alternate sightseeing. In case of discontinued itinerary due to these reasons no refund on the hotel booking will be provided and alternate accommodations (as per availability) are managed in the place where you have to stay back. While it is our endeavor to manage the alternate arrangements during such scenarios, please note the difference may be charged for the same.Â

1. What is the best time to visit Lahaul Spiti?
In summers March-June are considered to be the best to visit Spiti,the weather stays pleasant weather. For that perfect winter vacation, the months of October-February are the best time to visit Spiti.
2. Is Spiti valley hard to reach?
Known as one of the toughest adventure roads. However can be done with good driving techniques. The road is challenging than the famous Leh-Manali Highway.
3. Which is better Ladakh or Spiti?
Known as a mini Ladakh already! Spiti has much more impressive views. However, both have their own importance but it should be a bucket list destination for you at least once.
4. How far is Spiti valley from Manali?
Approximately 202 km
Spiti is approximately 202 km from Manali, but do not trust the hours that appear on a map. The road is difficult and it takes approximately 10-12 hours to travel from Manali to Kaza in Spiti.
5. Is liquor allowed in Spiti Valley?
You can take your own stock, but it is advisable that you should not drink or smoke while your trip as it is harmful for your body and can spoil your whole trip.
6. Is there oxygen problem in Spiti?
So, yes, there is little oxygen problem in Spiti that you can face, as it is an high altitude destination.

8. Can a person with asthma visit Spiti Valley?
Spiti valley is in the Trans Himalayas which makes it one of the place with less oxygen, and yes it is possible that a person with Asthma can face some difficulties. However it isn’t a denial that he or she can opt for it, ignoring alcohol and smoking while the tour will be recommended and prescribed medicine too.Â
9. Can I take my old age parents on a trip to Spiti?
It is recommended that taking old age parents can be little tricky because of the high altitude however if they are in a good mental and physical health they can go with some precautions.Â
