Day 01 : Guwahati – Samdrupjonkar by surface 185 Kms approx 5-6 Hrs
Today on arrival at Guwahati airport meet and received by our local team and transfer to Samdrupjonkar. You will pass through small villages, Tea gardens of Assam, seeing bicycles and buses overcrowded with passengers. Samdrup Jongkhar town holds the distinct honor of being the oldest town in Bhutan. This border town is a bustling little settlement packed to the brim with shopkeepers and hawkers from across the border of India and Bhutan. On arrival at the border go for the immigration formality, we will be assisted by our Bhutanese guide and thereafter drive to our booked hotel, rest of the time at leisure free for your own activities.

Day 02 : Samdrupjonkar – Trashigang by Surface 180 Kms Approx 6-7 hrs
Leaving the plains behind and you will ascend to the foothills of the Himalayas; you will be rewarded with the magnificent landscape, rich tropical forest. In the village of Narphung, you will find local products, including the famous homemade tea. Experience the wide range of culture and livelihood of the eastern people as you gradually ascend. Later on enjoy your lunch at Womrong. Then start our journey further up to Khaling where you will guided to National Handloom Development project to see the live weaving by young  women of eastern Bhutan. From there soon, you will reach to Kanglung, which lies on a gentle slope after driving past Yonphu La (2500m).  In this village, the country’s oldest college is located. From here, it is 22km drive to Tashigang of the monk body. You will guide to check into the hotel, rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 03 : In Trashigang (Learn about raw silk and explore rice fields)
Drive for an hour and visit the monastic school founded by Garab Rimpoche. It is the largest school in Nyimapa in the east. Later explore and enjoy photography of beautiful rice fields, colorful houses and picturesque villages, prayer flags, chortens (religious monuments) prayer wheel turned by water and much more, we will also visit village of Radhi famous for the raw silk. Â There you can explore the nearby village and see the vast cultivated land rice and maize. You can also see the women folks weaving a tapestry of textiles with raw silk. We can also visit the nunnery monastery and interact with the nuns, they will be happy to see you.
In the evening on our return to Tashigang visit Tashigang Dzong, the Dzong precariously hugs a spur at more than 400 m, jutting out over the Gamri River. The Dzong commands a remarkable view of the surrounding countryside. Built in 1659 A.D. it is practically impregnable, protected on three sides by the river and ravines, and from behind by the mountains. If time permits we will stroll through the town of Trashigang, absorbing the culture of eastern Bhutan.Â

Day 04 : Trashigang – Mongar – By Surface 91kms approx 3-4 Hrs
Today enjoy your drive through deep valley for about an hour, the road climbs towards Korila passing 2400 Mtrs. with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and villages and we continue our drive towards Mongar, the drive takes us through Manas Chu, the biggest river in Bhutan with a view of the gorgeous view of the 18 beds. On arrival at Mongar we check into the hotel, rest of time at leisure.Â

Day 05 : Mongar-Bumthang by surface by surface 198 km approx 07-08 Hrs
Today after early breakfast you will briefly visit the Mongar Dzong and you will start your journey to Bumthang which is considering as one of the most beautiful in the Himalaya crossing the 3800m high Trumshing La pass. It’s one of the most beautiful courses in Bhutan, passing through tick forest, waterfalls, remote villages and high bridges. This area is a bird watcher's paradise. You will descend to the Kuri Zampa (683m) and Lingmithang (770m), the vegetation is semi-tropical. Now you will ascend gradually to great heights through the clumps of bamboo and large cultivated fields of the staple crop corn as well as of rice.  From Sengor you will drive to the high point of the day Thrumshing La (3780m). You will descend down to Ura Village through conifers and rhododendrons and drive past by Sherteng La (3596m) and reach to Bumthang. Evening at leisure.Â

Day 06 : In Bumthang (Exploration of Bumthang Valley)
One of the most sacred regions of the Kingdom, the Bumthang Valley is a mixture of the abstract and the concrete with countless legends surrounding the region. Today we will explore the Bumthang Valley, which is the collective name for four valleys of Ura, Chumey, Tang and Chokhor and is considered to be one of the most beautiful and sacred valleys of Bhutan. If the weather is clear, you will enjoy the view of green valley, dotted with hundreds temples, thousand flags and beautiful Chamkhar river flow through the valley. Your visit in Bumthang includes Jakar Dzong, the administrative center of the valley; Jambay Lhakhang, one of the oldest monasteries in the Bhutan, dating from the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan; and Kujey Lhakhang, one of the most sacred places, where Guru Rinpoche left his body imprint on the cave when he was meditating. Â Later on you will visit Wangdicholing palace, built in 1857 on the site of the battle camp of the Penlop of Trongsa, Jigme Namgyal. It was the first palace that was not designed as a fortress. Wangdicholing was the early home of the third king, who moved the court to Punakha in 1952.Â

Day 07 : Bumthang – Punakha by surface 216 Kms approx 7 Hrs
Today enjoy the Scenic journey through beautiful rhododendron forests and dwarf bamboo fields, green meadows, beautiful wild flowers, gushing waterfalls and ever changing vegetation. The journey descends further down to the sub-tropical valley of Punakha, which served as the capital of Bhutan until 1955 and is still the home of the principal abbot in the winter months. Enroute we stop to visit Trongsa Dzong, another majestic architectural masterpiece and once the capital of Bhutan. It is very historical and every king, before ascension to the throne must, like the crown prince serve as Penlop (governor) of Trongsa. On arrival in Punakha we check into the booked accommodation, rest of the evening at leisure.Â

Day 08 : Punakha – Thimphu by surface 77 Kms approx 3 Hrs
Today morning, we will visit Punakha Dzong, located on the island of Pho - Chu (Male River) and Mochu (Female River). The Dzong was built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal (the person who unified Bhutan) to serve as the religious and administrative seat of the region. It was here that the dual system of government was introduced in the 17th century and in 1907, the first king Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuck was enthroned. Damaged over the centuries by four catastrophic fires and an earthquake, the Dzong has been fully restored in recent years by the 4th King Jigme Singye Wangchuck. At the Dzong you can see the highest wooden standards. If there is time to go see the longest suspension bridge for walkers. There after we get ready for short, easy hike to Chimi Lhakhang temple, dedicated to the quirky Buddhist leader Drukpa Kunley. The "fertility temple," as it's sometimes called, is filled with phallic imagery said to ward off evil spirits. From there, drive back through the Dochu La Pass for more panoramic views of Himalayan peaks along the Tibetan border. Thereafter continue drive towards Bhutan capital Thimphu.

Day 09 : In Thimphu – The Bhutan’s capital city
Today’s exploration of Thimphu begins with visit to National Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to world peace and prosperity in 1974 in memory of the Third King of Bhutan; the Kingdom’s rich culture at the National Library; the National Institute of Zorig Chusum where students undergo training course in Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts and crafts; Folk Heritage Museum which will provide an insight into traditional Bhutanese farm house. After lunch visit Changangkha Lhakhang, a fortress like temple which lies perched on a ridge above Thimphu; Takin Preserve to see the rare national animal of Bhutan. A further drive towards the BBS tower will provide a bird’s eye view of the capital; visit nunnery temple followed by a visit to Tashichho Dzong or “the fortress of the glorious religion†which is Bhutan’s administration,  religious centre and houses the throne room of His Majesty the King of Bhutan and other Government offices. It is also the summer residence of Je Khenpo or Chief Abbot.

Day 10 : Thimphu-Paro by surface 65 Kms Approx 1.5 Hrs
Today morning you will visit a Monastic School with more than 450 monks currently undergoing their studies. Later on drive to Paro, where you will start your hike to Taktsang Monastery (5hrs hike total):  perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro Valley floor, it is undoubtedly one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries.  Lore has it that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery thus the name ‘Tiger’s Nest’.  Later in the afternoon visit the Ta Dzong or National Museum. It offers a unique and varied collection of Thangkas, handicrafts, stuffed animals, masks, costumes and amour. The visit will give provide you with a good idea of the culture and traditions of Bhutan. Just below the Museum lies the Rinpung Dzong or Paro Dzong at the confluence of Do Chu and Paro Chu. It now houses the administrative offices of Paro District.Â

Day 11 : In Paro – The Taktshang Experience
Morning, hike to the most famous Taktshang Monastrey, popularly known as the Tiger’s Nest Monastrey, built amazingly on a steep cliff. According to legend, Guru Padmasambhava flew here on a flying Tigress and meditated there for three months in the 8th century. The walk uphill takes you a little more than a 1000ft above the Paro valley. The main deity of Taktsang is Dorji Drolo, the wrathful form of Guru Rinpoche, (the precious teacher). Then you will be driven to the ruins of Drukgyal Dzong or ‘fortress of the victorious Drukpas’ was built in 1649. In fine weather, the towering peak of Mount Jumolhari, (7,314 m / 24,000 ft) appears as a backdrop. Evening at leisure.

Itinerary Policy
This itinerary is a sample itinerary based on the information available at the time of publication, all information given in this program Trekveda reserves the right to change any program information before or after your booking the tour due to any events beyond our control. In case if we are aware of any changes sufficiently in advance we will notify you at the time of booking, otherwise our Tour Manager or Local representative will inform you of the changes. Major road works or floods, landslides may necessitate route changes in the itineraries. All of these may cause us to make changes in the itineraries. The Company has mentioned the detailed itinerary, price inclusions & exclusions, special notes etc. in the pdf.
ACTIVITIES OF THE ITINERARYÂ
Trekveda is a travel and holiday organizers only, we do not control or operate any airline, neither do we own or control any shipping company, coach or coach company, Hotel, Transport or any other facility or service mentioned in this program. We take care in selecting all the ingredients in your holiday; but because we only select and inspect them and have no control in running of them, we cannot be responsible for mechanical fault or any injury, death, loss or damage which is caused by the act or default of the management or employees of any hoteliers, airlines, shipping company, coach owner/ Transport operator who are the company’s independent contractors arising outside our normal selection and inspection process.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:-
1. There is no Contract between the company and the client until the company has received the initial deposit amount per person as specified for each tour package. The full payment must be received in accordance with procedures laid down under Payments Terms. If not paid in that time, the company reserves the right to cancel the booking with consequent loss of deposit and apply scale of cancellation charges as mentioned in the cancellation policy hereunder.

Health & Safety: The Company shall in no circumstances whatsoever will be liable to the Client or any person traveling for:
7. No liability on the part of the Company arising in any way out of this Contract in respect of any tour, holiday, excursion facility shall exceed the total amount paid or agreed to be paid for the tour holiday, and shall in no case include any consequential loss or additional expense whatsoever.

If the Client has any complaint in respect of the services provided by any of the Independent Contractors, the Client shall immediately notify the same in writing to the Independent Contractor and a copy thereof should be handed over to the Tour Manager of the Company in order to enable the Company to take up the matter with the Independent Contractor so that in future other Clients do not face the same difficulty.
a) Any claim or complaint by the Client must be notified to the Company in writing within 07 days of the end of this holiday tour. No claim notified to this Company beyond this period will be entertained and the Company shall incur no liability whatsoever in respect thereof.
9. Each of this condition shall be severable from the other end if any provision be invalid, illegal or unenforceable. The remaining provisions shall nevertheless have full force and effect.
10. Insurance: The tour cost does not include any costs towards the Travel / Meclaim Insurance premium. In case if the Client needs an Insurance coverage, it is suggested to go for suitable insurance policy on your own. The Client has to deal directly with the Insurance Company in case of settlement of any claim.Â
11. Change in Tour Price: The tour prices printed / advertised / quoted to Client are dynamic prices. The person booking tour early is likely to get the lowest price as communicated / offered by the Company, subject to availability of seats. Similarly, person booking tour at the last will be offered the highest prices. This pricing module has been adopted to get early bookings on tours. Hence it is quite obvious that persons travelling on a same group tour are likely to have paid different tour prices. The Company will not entertain any claim whatsoever on account of the same. Also it is clear agreement between either parties that the prices quoted in the proposal / brochure have been calculated based upon the prevailing hotel / transport tariffs and applicable taxes thereon at the time of printing this brochure. The Company reserves the right to amend the price published in this program in case of costs increased before the date of departure. All such increases in price must be paid for in full before departure by the Client. The company also reserves the right to charge offer time to time as per the present situation demand / circumstances. Â
12. Force Majure:-Acts of god (including exceptional adverse weather conditions), earthquake, fire , war (declared or undeclared), invasion, rebellion, revolt, riot, civil commotion, civil war, nuclear fission, Lockdown, strike, act(s) of omission/commission by any concerned government(s), or government agencies, judicial or quasijudicial authorities, occurrence of any event can force the Company to change or extended. Hence any additional expenditure occurred due to the above reasons the same will be borne by the passengers.
13. Please note trekking / driving time given in the program are approximate and it may vary due to break for refreshments, photography, bad weather and Road conditions.
MEALS
The menus are pre – set menus provided for breakfast/lunch/dinner on the tour as mentioned under each Tour itinerary and inclusions as printed in our brochure. The meals will be served at restaurants of hotel of stay. The enroute meals or meals during excursions could be packed meals or served by enroute/local restaurants / Dhabas. We cannot process a special meal nor do we guarantee the special diet to the customer. We however reserve the right to change the meal arrangement if circumstances make it necessary to do so. If a tour participant does not avail his/her meal in stipulated time; he/she has to avail the meal on his/her own arrangement and expenses. No claim can be made for the meal which he/she has missed and not utilized.
Itinerary Changes
For the comfort and convenience of our clients, we will sometimes reverse the direction, or slightly amend the itinerary. We will try to advise you of these amendments, prior to the start of the tour or on tour. In the event that a tour participant misses on any part of the sightseeing tour or any such tour due to delay on his part, he will not be entitled to claim refund of the same.
Hotel
We have mentioned the indicative names of the Hotels for each tour. We reserve the right to change the same due to unavoidable circumstances. In that case we may provide alternative, similar accommodation for which we are not liable to pay any refund. We will not be responsible or liable in case of loss of property or life at the Hotel. Similarly any damages caused to the hotel rooms during your stay, shall be payable by the Clients and the Company will not be liable for the same.
Transport / Coach / Sitting
We use Deluxe 2 X 2 Coaches or vehicles such as Tempo Traveller, Tata Winger, Chevrolet Tavera, Mahindra Scorpio, Toyota Qualis, Tata Sumo or similar as per the availability of vehicles and actual size of the group. Our tour manager / local representative will take reasonable care of your luggage but if you are carrying any high value items on the coach, we advise you not to leave them behind when you leave the coach. We will not be responsible or liable in case of theft or robbery of the said items from the coach. All baggage and personal effects are at all times and under all circumstances your responsibility. Any damages caused to the hotel rooms / coach during your stay, shall be payable by the Clients and the Company will not be liable for the same. The drivers of the vehicles are bound by specific rules like maximum driving hours within a day/during a week, rest period per day/week etc. Clients will have to strictly adhere to the prescribed timetable for the day so that the driver can complete the travel. In case, any of the sightseeing schedules is missed due to delays caused by the client, the same will not be refunded to the client under any circumstances. Â Please note that AC will not work in Hills and no claims to this regard shall be entertained.
Risk and Liabilities - Clients shall agree that Trekveda shall not be held responsible for consequences of natural calamities, weather condition, failure of scheduled airline, detention and delays due to quarantine, strike, theft, force major, civil disturbance, government restriction or regulation, accident by aircraft, car, bus or any other form of transport relating to program schedule. The travelers understand that such situations may occur, and we will inform you of the situation as soon as we have knowledge of it. The right is reserved to cancel or alter any package as conditions require, all additional cost occurs in such case will fully be borne by the travelers. Also, Trekveda shall not be held responsible for any loss/damage of your personal belongings.

Incidental charges due to unforeseen situationsÂ
All arrangements made by Company are in the capacity of an agent only. Company will not be liable for claims or expenses arising from circumstances beyond our control such as accidents, injuries, delayed or cancelled flights & acts of Force majeure/ traffic jams / traffic halts/ diversions/ bandh/ curfew, Union strike, VVIP movement, etc. – We will request you to bear with us the situations beyond our control. We will arrange for alternate sightseeing. In case of discontinued itinerary due to these reasons no refund on the hotel booking will be provided and alternate accommodations (as per availability) are managed in the place where you have to stay back. While it is our endeavor to manage the alternate arrangements during such scenarios, please note the difference may be charged for the same.Â
