Khardongla Pass is one of the pass that you visit, it has the thrilling experience, face the real time adventure on the pass, the pass is one of the highest motoirable pass in the world to witness.  

Itinerary: Ladakh the Little Tibet

Day 01: Arrival in Leh

On your first day arrival at Leh, our representative will greet you, and transfer you to Hotel. The whole day will be an acclimatization day with the high altitude in Leh (Ladakh), the altitude of Ladakh is 3200 Mtrs that needs a proper acclimatization. In the evening you can explore Leh Bazaar on your own.

Day 02: Leh- Sightseeing 

Wakeup to the beautiful view in Leh, and after breakfast we proceed for Indus Valley Monastery tour including Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh, Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism, Sindhu Ghat & Stok Palace Museum. In the evening return back to Leh / Explore local market on your own.

Day 03: Leh – Khardongla Pass – Leh 85 Kms

Today, wakeup for the trilling experience, after breakfast day excursion to Khardongla pass which is the highest motor able pass in the world 5600 Mtrs and has been recorded in the Gunnies Book of world records. At the top enjoy the nature beauty of snow capped mountains. In the evening return back to the hotel.

Day 04: Departure from Leh 

This day is the goodbye day, transfer in time to the airport to connect onwards destination flight.

Identity Proof- Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh is one of the most sensitive areas of India. Hence carry documents which can prove your nationality is really important. So carry your Adhar card and voter Id or either of one.

Contact details of any local citizen- If you know someone who lives in any part of the state don’t forget to carry their contact details.

Medical Kit- Basic medicines- Carry antiseptics, antibiotics, antacids and painkillers along with inhalers and pain relief sprays, ointment to avoid any last moment mood spoiler.

Full sleeves waterproof jackets- It depends on the season you are visiting. Although, you would need light woollens round the year but you need to carry heavy ones if you are visiting between November to March. Water repellent jackets would keep you safe from unseasonal rains.

Trekking Shoes/boots- These may help you in Sonamarg and Gulmarg as the ice level are usually more than 8 ft, and boots are basic necessities to carry for such destination. Although, you can rent it here but it’s always wise to carry your own.

Moisturizers- If you have dry skin, better you carry two bottles of your brand.

Extra bag- For picking up your dirty wears and keeps it away from the woolens.

Umbrella- If it’s a monsoon, umbrella is a must carry. It rains and it rains heavily in Kashmir.

Cash in hidden pockets- Kashmir is actually Cash-more as at every point you need to spend without thinking twice. The best part is eating jaunts are too cheap here. You can eat here limitlessly without burning a hole in your pocket. So eat. And stay calm.

Wearables:- Goggles For protection from sun and UV-rays, Sunscreen Lotion with high SPF(30 or above), Mustard Oil (for applying in nostrils as it can become dry and painful due to dry and cold winds of Ladakh), Lip Balm/ Vaseline, Gloves for bikers, Mufler, Caps, Water/Wind proof jacket.

Other necessary stuff:- Torch with extra cells (NOTE: Less power in leh), Swiss Knife/Knife (if u have any or u want to carry), Water bottle (NOTE: Lots of water to be carried), Extra bag for shopping. As Leh offers many handicraft items.

Eatable stuff:- Carry Glucose, chocolates, Nuts and other stuff which u want to carry. NOTE: Appetite will reduce due to AMSToiletries:-Face wash/Paper Soap, Tooth brush/ Tooth paste, Wet tissue/Dry tissue (NOTE: Carry lots of tissue paper as tissues are expensive in leh), Moisturizer / Comb

(NOTE: Dress in layers as it will be easy for you to add and subtract clothes due to sudden fall and rise in temperature over there.)

Here is what the tour fee includes:

1. Accommodation – Accommodation will be provided in standard category hotel, using standard room on triple sharing basis, in case of non-availability of rooms at the time of reservation, we shall accommodate our guests in alternative similar category hotel. In case any clients want to stay in the mentioned hotel, we will be happy to upgrade the room category which may result in additional cost to be borne by the client.

2. Meals – Kindly go through the detailed itinerary, as meals will be provided according to the mentions in each respective itinerary (meals are provided on fixed menu on buffet basis).

3. Transportation – We generally use transportation depending on number of person booked for the tour under following category:-
For 2-4 Person – Sedan car in AC in Plains & Non AC in Hills 
For 05 Person – Bolero / Sumo / Toyota Innova / Xylo Car AC in Plains & Non AC in Hills 
For 06-08 Person – Bolero / Sumo / Tempo Traveller 
For 09-12 Person – Tempo Traveller 
For 13+ - Mini Bus / 26 seated tempo 

Note:  Transport Fuels, toll, parking, and State tax are included.
a. In case of half day – It will be only 40 Kms / 4 Hrs 
b. In case of full day – it will be only 80 Kms / 8 Hrs  
c. There will be per kms / per hour additional charges crossing the above limit.

4. Guide – The Cost include fee of only local city / monuments guide only for sightseeing (if we required we will be happy to hire accompanied guide however at additional cost.)

5. For Wildlife Tour – Jungle Safaris are organized in Canter Safari on sharing basis (if required exclusive safari on non-sharing basis, we will be happy to book the same using Open Jeeps for all Jungle Safari, however at additional costs.) 

6. Forest Permits and Permission – While in National Parks / Wild life Sanctuary, all forest permits and fees are included.  

Here is what the tour fee not include: 

1. Mandatory GST of 5% on Invoice Amount 

2. Any kind of Travel / Health Insurance (Trekveda strictly recommend each traveller to please carry your own travel / health insurance)

3. Any specific Meals /Snacks / Beverages in during trip unless mentioned in cost include section

4. Any of Cost for Airfare, Train fare / or any kind of transportation reaching / departing from destination. (Can be arranged on request and at additional cost)

5. Any kind of medical expenses 

6. Any tips, laundry, Phone call, liquors, mineral water, camera fee or any other personal nature expenses.

7. Any other fee / charges not mentioned in the cost included section

Cancellation Policy & Charges

Cancelling a trip is like a real pain when you have been dreaming of it since a long time. But, to resolve it and to lesser your disappointment. We have a user-friendly cancellation policy for you. If you or any member of your group wants to cancel a booking, then you should notify us as soon as possible. You can notify us by phone, email or in writing. Your notice of cancellation will only take effect when it is received by us and will be effective from the date on which we receive it. If one or more member of a party cancel, it may increase the per person holiday price of those still travelling and you will be liable to pay this increase. Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, you will have to pay the cancellation charges as follows:
1. Cancelling more than 45 days Deposited amount Only 
2. Cancelling between 44-30 days of tour date 20% Only 
3. Cancelling between 29-20 days of the tour date 30% Only 
4. Cancelling between 19-15 days of the tour date 50% 
5. Cancelling between  14-8 days of the tour date 70% 
6. Cancelling within 7 days of the tour date 100% 

How to cancel your Tour?
We don't want you to get into any situation where you need to cancel your tour, but sometimes things don't work the way we want. So no worries we have a most comfortable way for you.

1. Drop an email on cancel@trekveda.com.

2. Inform your trek coordinator about your cancellation and a reason for the same. Then they will help you with the futhure process.

What is Tour Voucher?

Tour voucher is your credit amount at Trekveda that you can redeem by tour in future with us within 1 year.

How to use Tour Voucher?
You can get in touch with our sales executive on given numbers 9821325153/54/56. They will help you in the redemption of your voucher.

Voucher Terms and condition:-

1. The vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of issue.
2. Unused values will not be refunded or attributed to any transactions after the expiry date.
3. The vouchers can be redeemed against any Tour / Trek operated by Trekveda, the rates will be applicable as on day.
4. The vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, returned for a refund.
5. The Voucher can be transferred to your family members / friends, at a reduction of 45%.
6. The voucher can be redeemed for any Tour / Trek before 15 days of travel date, the base rates as on date will be applicable.
7. The voucher can be extended  30 days prior expiry date, for 03 months, 06 Month and 12 Month with reduction of 30%, 45%, 60% respectively.
8. Incase tour / trek amount exceeds the value of voucher, balance amount  must be paid by online banking, Google Pay and Paytm.
9. Trekveda reserves the right to cancel a voucher if we deem such action necessary i.e. after expiry date.
10. Trekveda can vary or replace these conditions from time to time (including to introduce new fees)

Note- The voucher is non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-extendable.

Other Tour Policies

1. Trekveda shall not be responsible for any change in the itinerary, Except where otherwise expressly stated in these Booking Conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by “Force Majeure”, meaning any event beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. Examples include warfare and acts of terrorism (and threat thereof), civil strife, significant risks to human health such as the outbreak of serious disease at the travel destination or natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes or weather conditions which make it impossible to travel safely to the travel destination or remain at the travel destination, government action; industrial dispute; lock closure; natural or other disaster; nuclear incident; terrorist activity; chemical or biological disaster; closure of airports; fire; flood; drought; re-scheduling; or cancellation of flights or alteration of the airline; or aircraft type by an airline and unavoidable technical problems and all similar events outside our or the supplier(s) concerned control

2. If  there  is  any  unprecedented  hike  in  the  cost  of  transport,  Local  Union,  Government, Air (including fuel surcharge) or accommodation  made by any parties other than Trekveda. It will also affect the cost. The additional unprecedented cost will be the responsibility of the Client.

3. Please  note  the  quote for these programs has  been  quoted  and  calculated  as  per  the  current  tax  structure,  any changes/ amendments, increase in the tax structure, which will be imposed by the government of India, will affect the quotation and this will be additional cost to be borne by the clients.

4. We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipment’s, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.

5. The prices shown on this website are per paying person. We reserve the right to amend the price of unsold holidays at any time and correct errors in the prices of confirmed holidays. 

6. If you are forced to return home early and cut your holiday short we cannot refund the cost of any travel arrangements you have not used. If you cut short your holiday and return home early in circumstances where you have no reasonable cause for complaint about the standard of accommodation and services provided, we will not offer you any refund for that part of your holiday not completed, or be liable for any associated costs you may incur. 

7. We start planning your trip many months in advance. Whilst it is unlikely that we will have to cancel your holiday or make changes to it, occasionally we may have to do so, and we reserve the right to do so at any time. We also reserve the right to make changes to or correct errors in our tanneries and on our website. If we make an insignificant change to your holiday, we will make reasonable efforts to inform you or your travel agent as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before your departure but we will have no liability to you.

8. For wildlife tours obtain a valid permit before entering the wildlife reserve Park. Don't carry cigarette or match box During the Tiger Safari. Don't smoke or light fire, it can cause forest fire. Don't carry or play transistor or tape recorder inside the National Parks.

9. Jungle safari trips are accompanied by naturalist are allowed into the park at fixed timings. Wildlife safari timing in Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Park is just like most parks in the country. Timings for entry into, and exit from, the park vary according to the season. In winters, due to the shorter duration of daylight hours, the morning entry time is later and evening exit time is earlier.

National Park remains open for visitors from 15th October to 30th June of every year 

1. All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general wellbeing.

2. We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggages & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.

There are some necessary details which required for safari reservation:

1. Full Name of every visitor
2. Age & Gender
3. Nationality
4. Any Identity proof details like Passport, Driving License, PAN Card or Voter
5. I D Card. Visitor is required to carry the same ID proof in original at the time of visiting the national park.

Risk and Liabilities - Clients shall agree that Trekveda shall not be held responsible for consequences of natural calamities, weather condition, failure of scheduled airline, detention and delays due to quarantine, strike, theft, force major, civil disturbance, government restriction or regulation, accident by aircraft, car, bus or any other form of transport relating to program schedule. The travellers understand that such situations may occur, and we will inform you of the situation as soon as we have knowledge of it. The right is reserved to cancel or alter any package as conditions require, all additional cost occurs in such case will fully be borne by the travellers. Also, Trekveda shall not be held responsible for any loss/damage of your personal belongings.

1. What is the best time to visit Ladakh?
Summer
Summer (April-June) is undoubtedly the best season to travel to Ladakh. It is when the snow melts and spectacular hues are spread all across the region. Breathtaking scenery along with enchanting Buddhist festivals like the famous Hemis Festival (June-July) can be witnesses during this period.

2. Is it safe to travel to Leh Ladakh?
Ladakh is completely safe.

3. Is Ladakh open for tourists?
Yes, Leh Ladakh is completely safe for tourists.

4. Are tourists allowed in Ladakh?
Yes, you can visit Ladakh as a tourist now. The union territory of Ladakh district administration has not issued any advisory for tourists as they are not expecting any. Which means that you can fly-in to Ladakh, but it is recommended that you have a negative Covid report issued within 48 hours of the date of travel.

5. Is Pangong Lake open for tourist?
While several high mountain passes remain closed in winter, the Indian Army keeps the road through Chang La pass open all year round. This means Pangong Lake can be visited throughout the year.

6. Is liquor allowed in Leh Ladakh?
You can buy and drink at the place you are staying. It is advisable that you carry your own when visiting outside of Leh as no liquor vends exist. One also has the option of carrying what one prefers to drink from Delhi/ where ever you are traveling from.

7. Can we smoke in Ladakh?
Any tobacco, smoking, and alcohol or other depressant drugs including, barbiturates, tranquilizers, and sleeping pills, etc. The alcohol actually dehydrates your body further which does not help a bit in acclimatization.

8. What is the Speciality of Ladakh?
Ladakh is most famous for breathtaking landscapes, the crystal clear skies, the highest mountain passes, thrilling adventure activities, Buddhist Monasteries and festivals.

9. Is there oxygen problem in Ladakh?
So, yes, there is less oxygen in Leh, as compared to low altitude and plane areas. ... Effects of low oxygen levels: Low oxygen levels and a decrease in air pressure can be harmful to people who suffer from asthma, respiratory problems, and for senior citizens.

10. How many feet above sea level is the khardung pass?
