Garhwal, the land of god is the region in Uttarakhand. The land of Garhs, forts, and the home too many sage. And pilgrims every year visit Garhwal to offer the payer to the most sacred beauty of Garhwal, that is Chardham Yatra includes; Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yumnotri, Gangotri. Garhwal region has the truth of Mankind that is written in the Hindu mythology. Two most sacred rivers in Hinduism originate from Garhwal region that are Ganga & Yamuna. The region is blessed with great peaks such as Kamet, Trishul, and the most big and known Nanda Devi Peak. Nanda Devi, with its twin summits peaking at a little over 25,645 feet. The massif stands alone, encircled in a vast ring of lesser peaks. The first successful entry into the inner "sanctuary" of Nanda Devi was made up of this gorge in 1934, after years of failed attempts. Eric Shipton and H.W Tilman entered the pages of exploration history, when they along with their Sherpa porters, became the first men to set foot in the Nanda Devi sanctuary.
