Amongst those, we will be taking you to explore the most demanding destination and the festival of North East India. If you have heard about one horned rhinos, so you must be thinking of the Jurassic park, but the incredible India has a wonders within. Kaziranga national park is one amongst those having one horned Rhinos. Kaziranga national park is spread around 430 sq kilometer of area. The park has the population of 2200 Indian one horned Rhions which is 2/3rd population of the world. The land is also a breeding ground of elephant, wild water buffalos, swap deer’s and variety of birds. Another exploring spot is Hornbill Festival of Nagaland, one of the popular festivals of Nagaland, North east India. The festival is a magnificent representation of the color, culture and custom of the Nagaland tribes. The beholding beauty of the splendid tradition, music, dance and performances of the diverse tribes of Nagaland. Typically is being celebrated to understand the Naga culture, and to keep the tradition on the surface, so that it won’t be shading under the modernization.  

Itinerary : One Horn Rhino with Hornbill Festival 

Day 01: Guwahati - Kaziranga National Park by surface 205 Kms approx 4 Hrs  

On arrival in Guwahati meet and received by our guide and driver and thereafter we will continue our drive to Kaziranga National Park. The park is spread over 430 square kilometer area sprinkled with elephant-grass meadows, swampy lagoons, and dense forests are home to more than 2200 Indian one-horned rhinoceros, approximately 2/3rd of their total world population. Formed in 1908 on the recommendation of Mary Curzon, the park is located in the edge of the Eastern Himalayan biodiversity hotspots - Golaghat and Nagaon district. In the year 1985, the park was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will reach Kaziranga National Park by late afternoon, check into the resort, rest of the time at leisure.

Day 02: In Kaziranga National Park 

Today early morning we will proceed for exploration of the park by an elephant ride. Apart from the rhino, other animals that you may encounter in the safari are hog deer, swamp deer, wild water buffalo, elephants - and if you are lucky, even tiger. Kaziranga is also home to pelicans, storks and darters - as there are numerous water bodies to be encountered inside the Park. With a variety of migratory and resident birds darting from tree to tree, the safari in Kaziranga will offer you an opportunity to observe these avian varieties – along with their mammalian counterparts - very closely. We will return to the resort for breakfast. Post lunch, we will venture into western range of the park for a Jeep safari. Evening at leisure.

Day 03: Kaziranga National Park - Kohima by surface 285 Kms approx 7-8 Hrs 

Today morning we start early morning from Kaziranga National park and continue our drive to Kohima. On arrival in Kohima, we will check into our booked accommodation (Guest House / Hotel), after some rest and relax, we will proceed to explore local market on our own. Rest of the time at leisure.

Day 04: In Kohima (Witness First Day opening Ceremonies of Hornbill Festival): 1st December 2021

Today full day will witness the inauguration ceremony of Hornbill Festival. The tribes of Nagaland celebrate their festivals with appreciation and fervor. More than 60% of the population of Nagaland depends on agriculture and therefore most of their festivals revolve around agriculture. They consider their festivals sacred and so participation in these festivals is essential. To encourage inter-tribal interaction and to promote cultural heritage. Hornbill Festival is held at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama which is about 12 km from Kohima. All the tribes of Nagaland take part in this festival. The aim of the festival is to revive and protect the rich culture of Nagaland and display its extravaganza and traditions. For visitors it means a closer understanding of the people and culture of Nagaland, and an opportunity to experience the food, songs, dances and customs of Nagaland. Evening at leisure.

Day 05: In Kohima (Witness Second Day of Hornbill Festival)

Today after breakfast, we will drive to the festival ground and full day engage in the Hornbill Festival. In the afternoon we will proceed to visit the famous war cemetery, a symbolic memorial raised as citation for the supreme sacrifice made by the officers and men of the Allied forces during World War II. Evening we drive back to our hotel. Rest of the time at leisure.

Day 06: Departure from Kohima 

Today morning well in time, we will be transferred from Kohima to Dimapur Airport / Railway station for our onwards journey back to home.

Clothes: It is advisable to wear clothes which cover the arms and legs so that if you come in contact with insects or wild animals, you won’t catch any allergy.

Digital Camera/Extra Batteries: You can experience some of the beautiful and amazing sights so you need to be prepared to capture it in your camera.

Power Bank: Your camera, phones need to be kept powered while experiencing beautiful jungle life so doesn’t forget to carry power banks.

Sunscreen: It is very important to carry a good sunscreen to protect your skin while safari.

Binoculars: Animals are generally far out in the fields, many times you need to spot them from a distance so you can carry a good quality binoculars with you.

Medications: While going in jungle, you need to be very careful about protecting yourself from diseases like Malaria and other so carry medicines which will be needed while your tour.

Hat: A comfortable hat will help a lot in protection from the sun, so don't forget to carry a hat with you.

Footwear: A good pair of water proof sports shoes is must.
 

Here is what the tour fee includes:

1. Accommodation – Accommodation will be provided in standard category hotel, using standard room on triple sharing basis, in case of non-availability of rooms at the time of reservation, we shall accommodate our guests in alternative similar category hotel. In case any clients want to stay in the mentioned hotel, we will be happy to upgrade the room category which may result in additional cost to be borne by the client.

2. Meals – Kindly go through the detailed itinerary, as meals will be provided according to the mentions in each respective itinerary (meals are provided on fixed menu on buffet basis).

3. Transportation – We generally use transportation depending on number of person booked for the tour under following category:-
For 2-4 Person – Sedan car in AC in Plains & Non AC in Hills 
For 05 Person – Bolero / Sumo / Toyota Innova / Xylo Car AC in Plains & Non AC in Hills 
For 06-08 Person – Bolero / Sumo / Tempo Traveller 
For 09-12 Person – Tempo Traveller 
For 13+ - Mini Bus / 26 seated tempo 

Note:  Transport Fuels, toll, parking, and State tax are included.
a. In case of half day – It will be only 40 Kms / 4 Hrs 
b. In case of full day – it will be only 80 Kms / 8 Hrs  
c. There will be per kms / per hour additional charges crossing the above limit.

4. Guide – The Cost include fee of only local city / monuments guide only for sightseeing (if we required we will be happy to hire accompanied guide however at additional cost.)

5. For Wildlife Tour – Jungle Safaris are organized in Canter Safari on sharing basis (if required exclusive safari on non-sharing basis, we will be happy to book the same using Open Jeeps for all Jungle Safari, however at additional costs.) 

6. Forest Permits and Permission – While in National Parks / Wild life Sanctuary, all forest permits and fees are included.  

Here is what the tour fee not include: 

1. Mandatory GST of 5% on Invoice Amount 

2. Any kind of Travel / Health Insurance (Trekveda strictly recommend each traveller to please carry your own travel / health insurance)

3. Any specific Meals /Snacks / Beverages in during trip unless mentioned in cost include section

4. Any of Cost for Airfare, Train fare / or any kind of transportation reaching / departing from destination. (Can be arranged on request and at additional cost)

5. Any kind of medical expenses 

6. Any tips, laundry, Phone call, liquors, mineral water, camera fee or any other personal nature expenses.

7. Any other fee / charges not mentioned in the cost included section

Terms and Conditions

Confirmation Policy:

1. Payment can be done in parts.

2. After making your advance payment, you will get a confirmation email.

3. Once you make the 100% payment for your booking, you'll get the booking voucher containing all the information about your tour.

Payment Terms Policy:

100.0% of total tour cost will have to be paid 15 days before the date of travel.

Cancellation Policy & Charges

Cancelling a trip is like a real pain when you have been dreaming of it since a long time. But, to resolve it and to lesser your disappointment. We have a user-friendly cancellation policy for you. If you or any member of your group wants to cancel a booking, then you should notify us as soon as possible. You can notify us by phone, email or in writing. Your notice of cancellation will only take effect when it is received by us and will be effective from the date on which we receive it. If one or more member of a party cancel, it may increase the per person holiday price of those still travelling and you will be liable to pay this increase. Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, you will have to pay the cancellation charges as follows:
1. If cancellation are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
2. If cancellation are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees. 
3. If cancellation are made 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 75.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees. 
4. If cancellation are made 0 days to 7 days before the date of travel then 100.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees. 

How to cancel your Tour?
We don't want you to get into any situation where you need to cancel your tour, but sometimes things don't work the way we want. So no worries we have a most comfortable way for you.

1. Drop an email on cancel@trekveda.com.

2. Inform your tour expert about your cancellation and a reason for the same. Then they will help you with the futhure process.

What is Tour Voucher?

Tour voucher is your credit amount at Trekveda that you can redeem by tour in future with us within 1 year.

How to use Tour Voucher?
You can get in touch with our tour expert on given numbers 9821325153/54/56. They will help you in the redemption of your voucher.

Voucher Terms and condition:-

1. The vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of issue.
2. Unused values will not be refunded or attributed to any transactions after the expiry date.
3. The vouchers can be redeemed against any Tour / Trek operated by Trekveda, the rates will be applicable as on day.
4. The vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, returned for a refund.
5. The Voucher can be transferred to your family members / friends, at a reduction of 45%.
6. The voucher can be redeemed for any Tour / Trek before 15 days of travel date, the base rates as on date will be applicable.
7. The voucher can be extended  30 days prior expiry date, for 03 months, 06 Month and 12 Month with reduction of 30%, 45%, 60% respectively.
8. Incase tour / trek amount exceeds the value of voucher, balance amount  must be paid by online banking, Google Pay and Paytm.
9. Trekveda reserves the right to cancel a voucher if we deem such action necessary i.e. after expiry date.
10. Trekveda can vary or replace these conditions from time to time (including to introduce new fees)

Note- The voucher is non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-extendable.

Other Tour Policies

1. Trekveda shall not be responsible for any change in the itinerary, Except where otherwise expressly stated in these Booking Conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by “Force Majeure”, meaning any event beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. Examples include warfare and acts of terrorism (and threat thereof), civil strife, significant risks to human health such as the outbreak of serious disease at the travel destination or natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes or weather conditions which make it impossible to travel safely to the travel destination or remain at the travel destination, government action; industrial dispute; lock closure; natural or other disaster; nuclear incident; terrorist activity; chemical or biological disaster; closure of airports; fire; flood; drought; re-scheduling; or cancellation of flights or alteration of the airline; or aircraft type by an airline and unavoidable technical problems and all similar events outside our or the supplier(s) concerned control

2. If  there  is  any  unprecedented  hike  in  the  cost  of  transport,  Local  Union,  Government, Air (including fuel surcharge) or accommodation  made by any parties other than Trekveda. It will also affect the cost. The additional unprecedented cost will be the responsibility of the Client.

3. Please  note  the  quote for these programs has  been  quoted  and  calculated  as  per  the  current  tax  structure,  any changes/ amendments, increase in the tax structure, which will be imposed by the government of India, will affect the quotation and this will be additional cost to be borne by the clients.

4. We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipment’s, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.

5. The prices shown on this website are per paying person. We reserve the right to amend the price of unsold holidays at any time and correct errors in the prices of confirmed holidays. 

6. If you are forced to return home early and cut your holiday short we cannot refund the cost of any travel arrangements you have not used. If you cut short your holiday and return home early in circumstances where you have no reasonable cause for complaint about the standard of accommodation and services provided, we will not offer you any refund for that part of your holiday not completed, or be liable for any associated costs you may incur. 

7. We start planning your trip many months in advance. Whilst it is unlikely that we will have to cancel your holiday or make changes to it, occasionally we may have to do so, and we reserve the right to do so at any time. We also reserve the right to make changes to or correct errors in our tanneries and on our website. If we make an insignificant change to your holiday, we will make reasonable efforts to inform you or your travel agent as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before your departure but we will have no liability to you.

8. For wildlife tours obtain a valid permit before entering the wildlife reserve Park. Don't carry cigarette or match box During the Tiger Safari. Don't smoke or light fire, it can cause forest fire. Don't carry or play transistor or tape recorder inside the National Parks.

9. Jungle safari trips are accompanied by naturalist are allowed into the park at fixed timings. Wildlife safari timing in Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Park is just like most parks in the country. Timings for entry into, and exit from, the park vary according to the season. In winters, due to the shorter duration of daylight hours, the morning entry time is later and evening exit time is earlier.

National Park remains open for visitors from 15th October to 30th June of every year 

1. All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general wellbeing.

2. We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggages & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.

There are some necessary details which required for safari reservation:

1. Full Name of every visitor
2. Age & Gender
3. Nationality
4. Any Identity proof details like Passport, Driving License, PAN Card or Voter
5. I D Card. Visitor is required to carry the same ID proof in original at the time of visiting the national park.

Risk and Liabilities - Clients shall agree that Trekveda shall not be held responsible for consequences of natural calamities, weather condition, failure of scheduled airline, detention and delays due to quarantine, strike, theft, force major, civil disturbance, government restriction or regulation, accident by aircraft, car, bus or any other form of transport relating to program schedule. The travellers understand that such situations may occur, and we will inform you of the situation as soon as we have knowledge of it. The right is reserved to cancel or alter any package as conditions require, all additional cost occurs in such case will fully be borne by the travellers. Also, Trekveda shall not be held responsible for any loss/damage of your personal belongings.
